As the military gets ready to lift the Public Emergency Regulation this Saturday, the RFMF has stressed to the political parties that they should not make negative and misleading statements against the interim government.
Military spokesperson, Lt Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said they will not hesitate to bring back the regulation if any political leader attacks the interim government and the RFMF, and causes incitement.
Lt Colonel Tikoitoga also said Ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase and SDL spokesperson, Peceli Kinivuwai should remember that the regulation was re-invoked because of their comments and they should remain cautious after the regulation is lifted.
The SDL Party said yesterday that they will only comment on the Interim Prime Minister's address to the UN General Assembly, when the Public Emergency Regulation is lifted next week.
SDL's National Director, Peceli Kinivuwai said they have a lot to say in response to the Interim Prime Minister's speech in New York, however they are restricted by the PER in making public statements.
