One of the main reasons for the takeover on the 5th of December last year was to weed out the racial differences in Fiji and to ensure that people of all the races unite and move the country forward.

Speaking during a radio talk back show on Viti FM, Military spokesperson, Lt Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said this is the time to change the mindset of the people and in doing so, it will not only benefit the current generation but our children and grandchildren who will follow through.

Tikotoga said during this critical time, people must stop pin-pointing other races, as it will be meaningful for the Indigenous people to work together with the other races and show them the real love which is preached every Sunday in churches.

He said every Sunday, people go to church and one of the greatest teachings is to love one another and based on that there should be real efforts to build a united Fiji.
