The Fiji Retailers Association said the Military needs to be deployed right away to work with the people rehabilitate quickly.
President, Himmat Lodhia said there are Military personnel in every division and they should be activated to assist all retailers and others in need to clean and get the country going without much delay.
He adds as the as Prime Minister has declared state of Emergency, this is the appropriate time action is needed for all those who are affected by this major disaster.
However, Military Spokesperson, Major Neumi Leweni said their Officers have already been deployed at all divisions and they are helping out in rehabilitation work.
Meanwhile, heavy rain and floods has forced hotels in the Western Division to activate Plan B where most of them are resorting to backup generators and boreholes to cater to their customer's needs.
Raffles Gateway General Manager, Seda Siwan said they have also resorted to collecting rain water as their last resort.
The Capricorn International Hotel say they are currently using a borehole, tanks and pumps as the water pressure is very low and a backup generator whenever the power is cut off.
