The Fiji Law Society criticizes the increase in the military's 2009 budget by $15 million.
President Dor Sami Naidu said the increase indicates that the military will remain in power for a long time.
Naidu believes Police should have been given more money in their budget.
Total military budget had been increased to $96.8 million for 2009.
