Father's Day for the Methodist Church of Fiji followers is always the second Sunday of September.

As most father's celebrated their special day last week, questions have always been raised as to why the Methodist Church celebrates it a week later.

General Secretary of the Church, Reverend Tevita Nawadra said it has been normal in the past years that when the world celebrates the first week of September, most of the fathers in the Methodist church are still busy at the annual church conference.

Reverend Nawadra said because of this a decision was made that Father's Day be celebrated the following week.
