The Methodist Church in Fiji is yet to meet to discuss the decision by Government not to have the Methodist Church Conference until 2014.

Church Assistant General Secretary, Reverend Tevita Nawadra has told Fijivillage news that they are still holding talks with the Heads of the Various Ministries within the Church, to set their guidelines for the New Year.

Nawadra adds that once those meetings are out of the way then the Church will discuss the decision made by Government.

However, Nawadra said the Church is still investigating reports that some Methodist Church ministers were on the police payroll as informers for the Police Special Branch.

Reverend Nawadra said they never knew that the Methodist Church Ministers were being paid to give information to the Qarase government.
