The Methodist Church will wait for the pre-trial conference this Friday for the 9 church ministers and officials before they can decide on their first meeting this year.

This has been confirmed by Acting General Secretary of the church Reverend Tevita Nawadra this morning.

Reverend Nawadra said after the Christmas break, the Standing Committee is expected to meet to discuss the church programmes and activities for 2010.

Meanwhile, amongst the church leaders who are on pre-trial includes the President Reverend Ame Tugawe and the General Secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu with others who are charged with participating in meetings in contravention of the Public Emergency Regulation (PER).    

The next court case will be called this Friday at the Suva Magistrates Court.
