The Methodist Church ministers are still waiting to have a meeting with the Commissioner of Police, Commodore Esala Teleni which has been adjourned to a later date.

Acting General Secretary, Reverend Tevita Nawadra said there are issues which need to be discussed with the Commissioner, one of which is the issue of a permit, as the Standing committee needs to sit down and meet to discuss programmes for this year.

He adds there is still no word from the Commissioner about the date of their meeting.

Rev Nawadra said they also want to meet with the Police Commissioner to discuss the issue raised by Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama that some Methodist Church Ministers names appeared on the Police Department payroll in 2006.
