All taxi meter implementation in the North and the West have been put on hold until word from the Transport Ministry.
Fiji Taxi Union General Secretary Rishi Ram said they have put the taxi meter implementation on hold.
According to Ram added this decision was reached after talks with the Land Transport Authority (LTA).
LTA had earlier issued a deadline until the end of this month for taxi meters in Labasa, Savusavu and towns in the West to be implemented.
