Messi beat Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique has been awarded the best football coach for 2015 in Zurich.
Enrique helped Barcelona win an unprecedented five trophies in a calender year including the Champions League and La Liga title.
Four players each from Barcelona and Real Madrid have been named in the FIFA/ FIFPRO team of the year.
