The merge of the six tertiary institutions into the Fiji National University has been described as the most successful and efficient merger ever in the world.
Education Minister Filipe Bole made the comments at the official opening of the FNU while addressing over 2000 invited guests including members of the diplomatic corp, Donar agencies, business community and representatives from various organizations.
Bole said the formation of the FNU marks a historic occasion for the people of Fiji.
