The Team Fiji Beach Volleyball Men’s Team will be heading into the Pacific Games to defend their title and win gold again.
The team which has been successful in the past few Pacific Games will have Waisake Raratabu and Waisale Suka who have a lot of experience in winning big tournaments abroad.
Raratabu who won his last gold medal in New Caledonia when they beat Australia in the final has been working hard to find his usual form.
Section Manager Pauline Stephen believes they have the skills and experience to counter the strong competition from Tahiti, Cook Islands and New Caledonia.
Meanwhile, Stephen said the women’s team which consists of Iliseva Ratudina and Sera Speed will be playing for the first time in the Pacific Games.
The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of next month.
