Men sentenced for breaking entering
Four men charged with three counts of breaking entering and larceny were convicted and sentenced by the Suva Magistrates Court today.
The court heard that on 21st of April this year, Vereniki Ravulolo, Sailosi Tuicama, Marika Yalimaiwai and Ilaitia Sokia entered into the premises of DAV College and stole items from the computer lab, office and sports room.
Ravulolo was sentenced to 6 years suspended for 5 years and was bound over for $250, the second accused Sailosi Tuicama was sentenced to 1 year for the first count, 2 years for second count and three years for third count suspended for three years.
The third accused Marika Yalimaiwai was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment suspended for three years while the fourth accused Ilaitia Sokia who had previous convictions was sentenced to six years imprisonment.
