Two men of Lautoka charged with the alleged murder of a 37 year old man of Tomuka, Lautoka appeared in the Lautoka magistrates court this afternoon.
A prominent soccer player Netani Momaivalu who plays for Nadi and Kaliova Rasaku both 20 years of age have been remanded in custody by Magistrate Shafullah Khan.
Momaivalu today pleaded not guilty. Magistrate Khan has called on second accuse Rasaku to look for legal representation before his plea will be taken.
The magistrate has also referred this case to High Court.
Police recoverd some items from the murder scene which lead to the arrests.
The deceased was last seen getting off a minivan at about 4.30 Saturday morning after a grog session. There were visible injuries found on the victim's face.
