Two men found guilty of the murder of taxi driver Murad Buksh have been sentenced to 16 years imprisonment each by the Suva High Court a few minutes ago.
Netani Nute and IIaisa Cava Sousou were found guilty of murder.
The third accused Manoa Qalovaki who was been found guilty of Larceny and unlawful use of motor vehicle but aquitted on the murder charge was sentenced to 200 of community work.
Nute and Sousou together with Qalovaki hired a taxi on August 24th 2007 from Albert Park and upon reaching Veisari assaulted and killed Buksh. His body was found under a bridge the following day.
