Men Charged With Robbery Released On Bail
The court heard that on the 13th of November last year, the three, Pio Koroiyadi, Manao Koroliku and Vilimoni Corocoro robbed Teresia Vani and Nehru Umaria of items worth $8,239 which included mobile phones, digital cameras, binoculars and cash amongst other things.
The Police Prosecutor objected to bail as the offence was a serious one, the items were yet to be recovered and if released on bail, the accused may interfere with witnesses, jeopardise investigations and not turn up for the next court hearing.
Koroiyadi and Koroliku, were released on $500 bail with assurity of the same amount with strict curfews from 6pm to 6am while Corocoro was remanded in custody as there was no one suitable enough to provide assurity for him.
The case was adjourned to the 20th of January.
