Close families, friends and colleagues of former media personality Mere Lomaloma gathered at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Suva today for a Thanksgiving Service for Mere.

Mere who died in Auckland at the age of 49 last month led a courageous life even in her battle with cancer, according to a family member.

Her former boss, Communications Fiji Limited Managing Director, William Parkinson who gave a eulogy, remembers Mere as a strong woman during her days at CFL, although she was shy when she was first drafted into the team.

Lomaloma was the first programs director for Viti FM and breakfast show host with the late Lulu Buksh for FM96.
 
Also present today at the service were family members, Mere's sisters Rev Sereima Lomaloma and Litia Simpson.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Elliot and 4 children who now reside in New Zealand.

Vude Queen, Laisa Vulakoro sang a song for Mere today as she was also a close friend of Mere.
