Members of the Methodist Church of Fiji will now be given forms to sign not to show their support in standing by the Church's decision not to support the draft People's Charter.
Newly appointed General Secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu had confirmed that while the Church had remained firm on last year's decision from Macuata not to support the draft charter, it is important to get the view of the members after hearing the presentation from the Christian Citizenship and Social Services committee chairman Reverend Manasa Lasaro.
Reverend Waqairatu is now calling on the interim government to conduct the election under the current constitution before the newly elect government decides on the charter.
In today’s Annual Methodist Church Conference the performance of the education sector of the church will be discussed early in the morning before the draft charter will be the major topic of discussion this afternoon.
