A member of the Public Accounts Committee has questioned the Ministry of Education on what mechanisms they have in place to stop future embezzlement of funds.
Balmindra Singh said embezzlement within the Ministry of Education is nothing new as there were a lot of cases in the past years.
Singh also asked the Ministry of Education on what they have done with the embezzlement cases.
Ministry of Education Director Finance Makerita Fuata said all the officers involved have been terminated and their cases were taken to court.
