The sacked National Netball Coach Melissa Walker has been reinstated although she was given the termination letter upon arrival from the South African tour.

This is after the Youth and Sports Ministry stepped in to resolve the impasse at Netball Fiji.

Youth and Sport Ministry Officials met with Netball Fiji executives yesterday to settle the impasse that led to the unceremonious sacking of Walker.

At the meeting, two resolutions were agreed upon, that Melissa Walker is to be re-engaged as Fiji's National Netball coach and that the Youth and Sport Department will take the lead role in the development and administration of the sport until the end of the Mini Pacific Games in September.

In addition, the Youth and Sports Department will conduct a thorough investigation into the affairs of the association. The Ministry hopes that the agreed terms are for the good of sports in the country, and also for players, team managements and executives.
