It's still unknown whether Russia's Nikolai Valuev who claimed a majority points decision today to retain his WBA heavyweight crown and defeat veteran American, Evander Holyfield will allow
Fiji born-Australian boxer Kalivati Meehan to challenge his belt.

Meehan who was the WBA number one contender was supposed to fight Valuev, but Valuev allowed Holyfield to challenge his WBA belt first to which Meehan was really disappointed.

Meehan is currently training in Australia and his manager is currently negating his next Title fight for next year.

Meanwhile, Holyfield 46 was aiming to become the oldest Heavyweight Champion in history but was well beaten by Valuev in Switzerland today.

Valuev now holds a 50-1 record with 34 KO while Holyfield’s 24-year-old boxing career looks to be over.
