The media in Fiji are expected to operate under a Media Decree from later this month.
Permanent Secretary for Information Lt Colonel Neumi Leweni confirmed that consultations will be held on the decree next week.
Lt Colonel Leweni said consultations are not expected to take too long as only the media outlets will be part of the process.
