The media will be watched closely to ensure they are not biased.
Those were the words of the Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khiayum after confirmation that Fiji Times Publisher Evan Hannah was yesterday afternoon approached by government officials to explain the origins of various documents.
Hannah was asked to explain a series of articles the interim administration managed to get hold of titled, "Exposing the Lie."
The series of articles written through the use of documents, according to Sayed-Khaiyum contained articles which were inaccurate.
Sayed-Kaiyum said if a media organization is supporting a particular party they are entitled to let the public know their stand.
However, Fiji Times News Editor Netani Rika said the Interim Attorney General's claims are unfounded and the Fiji Times has never seen or heard of these documents before.
