The Fiji Media Council has come out saying that all media organizations in Fiji including the Fiji Media Council should be given an opportunity to make submissions before the draft Media Promulgation is prepared.
Chairman Daryl Tarte's comments come as Deputy Secretary for Information Major Neumi Leweni confirmed that work on the media promulgation is well underway and the government expects to have a draft document ready by December this year.
According to Tarte, media organizations should have a say in the making of the promulgation.
Meanwhile, Major Leweni said there will be a consultative process where media organizations will have a chance to put their views across.
However, he could not confirm when this consultative process will be called.
