The Interim Prime Minister said contrary to certain media reports that Tonga does not want him to attend the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum, he has been sent an official invitation from the Tongan Prime Minister to be in Nuku'alofa next week.
Commodore Frank Bainimarama said it is irresponsible for some media outlets to say that Tonga does not want him in the forum as only a pro-democracy leader, Akilisi Pohiva has made that statement.
The Interim PM also said that a number of meetings have been organised in Tonga where he will meet with members of the Fijian and Tongan communities.
Commodore Bainimarama leaves for Nuku'alofa on Monday.
