Consultations for the new Media Decree, which is expected to start next month, will be opened to all stakeholders.
This was confirmed by the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum who also stressed that the consultation is open only to media stakeholders which means that it does not include political parties.
He added that the consultations will focus on issues like advertising and media ethics.
The Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama had earlier mentioned that the Fiji Times and the Fiji TV would not be included, however government has changed its stance on the issue.
The consultations will be held in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa from the 7th until the 10th of next month.
