The Fiji Media Council chairman said the interim prime minister made it clear that details over why Fiji Times Publisher Evan Hannah was deported last Friday will not be publicly revealed.
Daryl Tarte told Radio New Zealand that he is not sure what else the organization can do beyond making a formal complaint to the interim administration.
Tarte declined to discuss the meeting in detail except to say that an explanation was not forthcoming.
Tarte had refused to make any comments when approached after the meeting yesterday afternoon and when contacted again this morning by Fijivillage.
