The first Fiji Media Council Public Forum for this year will be held tonight in Suva.

The Forum's focus will be on financial survival "Time to tighten the purse strings?" and what is the country's financial status after the military takeover in December.

The panel for the Forum includes Permanent Secretary for Finance and National Planning Peceli Vocea, Chairman of the Association of Banks in Fiji Laurie Mellsop and the Acting President of Fiji Chamber of Commerce Swani Maharaj.

The Forum begins at 7pm at the Fiji Times Conference Room at Butt Street in Suva.
