Queensland Reds rugby coach Ewen McKenzie said he’s unfazed by claims they won’t be able to defend their Super Rugby title without star five eighth Quade Cooper.

Former Wallaby Rod Kafer suggested earlier this week the Reds will struggle while Cooper is sidelined with a knee injury, adding they wouldn’t have won last year without him.

Cooper isn’t expected to be available until round seven.

The Reds play the Waratahs in Sydney tomorrow night with the former North Harbour first five Mike Harris wearing the number 10 jersey for the Reds.

In the opening Super rugby game tonight, the Blues take on the Crusaders at 6.35.

At 8.40pm the Brumbies will take on Western Force.

Tomorrow morning at 5.10am, the Bulls will play the Sharks in Pretoria.
