Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie admits he is keeping an eye on when Brumbies winger Henry Speight will become eligible for the Wallabies.

While he will miss the entire Rugby Championship, McKenzie said Speight is doing everything he can to book a spot in the Wallabies' spring tour.

Speight has been Australia's highest Super Rugby try scorer over the past two seasons.

McKenzie told Rugby Heaven that the 25 year old is only available for one Rugby Championship game and that makes it complicated for him to join the current squad but there is a five game tour at the end of the year and Henry Speight is eligible around that time.

When Fijivillage asked Speight on the issue, he said that he is just setting his sights on the Super Rugby final this week.

Speight added that he will dedicate his Super Rugby Grand final match to the children in hospitals and those who are living with cancer.

Meanwhile the Wallabies Coach said he is waiting to know the date of Speight's availability and will make decisions accordingly.

The Brumbies take on the Chiefs in the final at 7.35pm Saturday.
