Former Australia Under 20 rugby assistant forwards coach, John McKee has been appointed the new Fiji Rugby Union High Performance Unit General Manager.

His contract is for three years and he replaces Mike Ryan who left FRU in July this year.

McKee spent six seasons in France and Ireland as an assistant coach from 2000.

In 2008, McKee travelled as a Specialist coach for the Pacific Islanders European tour and in 2011 he was the Technical Advisor to the Tonga rugby union HPU.

McKee said one of his main focus is consistency.

McKee added that he is looking forward in working with the National team coaches in developing the best possible programs for Fiji rugby.
