McDonalds has contributed $25,000 for the Road to Rio campaign from the sale of paper rugby balls in their outlets in Fiji.
They presented the cheque to the CEO of Fiji Sports Council, Litiana Loabuka this afternoon.
Loabuka says more companies are coming forward to help the team as the campaign finishes this Saturday with the announcement of the team.
McDonalds Developmental Partner, Marc McElrath says they are blown away by the support of the people of Fiji and their customers as initially they had not anticipated this amount.
He says the amount was raised by the sale of the paper rugby balls along with some donations from their key suppliers.
