New Zealand's Acting High Commissioner to Fiji Caroline McDonald left Fiji on an Air New Zealand Flight bound for Auckland this morning.

Newstalk ZB reports that McDonald, who was declared Persona Non Grata by the interim government, is expected to make a brief statement about her expulsion when she arrives in Auckland later today.

McDonald was declared persona non grata by the interim government after allegations that she was meddling in Fiji's politics and refusing to engage with the interim government as per her diplomatic duties.
