Simon McCartney has been found guilty of the murder of his wife Ashika Lata McCartney by High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar in the last hour.
Judge Gounder concurred with the five assessors, who came out with a unanimous guilty verdict.
The five assessors after listening to the Judges summing up, retired behind closed doors and within an hour came out with the guilty verdict.
Judge Gounder will sentence Simon McCartney at 9.30 tomorrow morning.
Ashika Lata McCartney's body was found in Deuba a few days after she arrived in the country from Australia and medical reports showed that she was strangled to death.
