Interim Local Government Minister Filipe Bole said the 12 Mayors in the 12 municipalities have received their letters yesterday that their services are no longer required.
Bole said he has appointed Town Clerks to run the daily affairs of the 12 municipalities around the country.
Bole said by mid next month, he will appoint some special administrators to oversee the running of the council
Meanwhile, despite his term coming to an end today, Nadi Town Mayor Timoci Koroiqica said he will continue working for Nadi Town.
Koroiqica said he wants continuity and services to be provided
to the people.
