Former Digicel Fiji 7s team halfback Nikola Matawalu has confirmed that he will not be part of the squad to the Rugby World Cup 7s.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Glasgow, Matawalu believes it will be hard for him to find his best form after a long season of playing 15s rugby in Europe.
Last week, Head Coach Alifereti Dere said he is yet to receive confirmation from Matawalu on his decision.
Matawalu also said he will not watch this weekend’s Scotland 7s as he will be in Ireland due to club commitments.
Meanwhile, Fiji will take on Spain at 9.52pm Saturday.
We then take on Argentina at 12.58am Sunday and our last pool match is against Australia at 5.15am Sunday.
The Cup quarters start at 10.58pm Sunday, Cup semis kick off at 2.58am Monday and the final will get underway at 5.45am Monday.
