Former national Sevens rep Nikola Matawalu is just hours away from joining the Glasgow Warriors Rugby Club in Scotland.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Matawalu said that he will be playing his first game this weekend at halfback against Irish based team Connacht.
The former Suva Grammar school student added that the Club will provide him with a house, car and a salary of 60,000 pounds which is equivalent to $FJ150,000 per year.
Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend, said Matawalu is quick, strong and is one of those types of players that can do something unexpected.
Matawalu has encouraged the Fiji Sevens team to keep the momentum going despite the changes that are happening.
Matawalu will be playing with Tongans Ofa Fainga’anuku and Viliami Ma’afu.
