As the document aimed to take Fiji forward gets launched today, the Co-Chair of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji (NCBBF) Archbishop Petero Mataca hopes the people of Fiji support the draft People's Charter for the good of the nation and the unity of all races in Fiji.
Archbishop Mataca said there are many good changes proposed and people should take time out to read the contents of the draft charter rather than just reject it.
Archbishop Mataca also said it is irresponsible for some political parties to suggest that the Charter would marginalize the Fijian institutions in the country.
He also said that it is not right to say that the common name "Fijian" for all Fiji citizens would be an insult to the indigenous Fijians.
Meanwhile, Commodore Bainimarama will launch the draft charter awareness campaign at 6 o’clock tonight.
