Mata Trading Nukuloa College won the 2016 Vodafone Secondary School Soccer Championship after defeating Baulevu College 2-1 in the final.
Nukuloa College team captain Atunaisa Naucukidi says that it was an awesome experience for the team and the community as they took the title for the first time.
Naucikidi says playing in the Ba district was not that easy but they have come through.
He says they have faced difficulties in coping with school work and training however their coach Nazim Ali and other teachers have always been there to help them out.
Naucikidi adds that the team dedicates the victory to all the people of Nukuloa who have supported them throughout the training.
Meanwhile Baulevu High Captain Amitesh Gounder says that they are not discouraged by the loss and they feel proud to have represented their district.
Goundar says that they want to thank all their school teachers and parents for supporting them.
