A massive hunt is underway for two men who stabbed and robbed a 35 year old taxi driver near the Nausori Airport yesterday afternoon.
The two hired the taxi from Nausori town to Hanger Street near the Airport. Upon reaching their destination one of the suspects held the driver from behind while the other sitting in the front seat got hold of a kitchen knife and allegedly stabbed the driver.
The two then fled with cash and other items. The taxi driver was rushed to the Wainibokasi Hospital with serious injuries where he is recovering now.
Arrests are expected to be made soon.
