Star fly half Nicky Little has been ruled out of the IRB Rugby World Cup in a massive blow for FMF Flying Fijians head of their quarterfinal against South Africa on Monday in Marseille.

Little, who scored 18 points in Fiji's 38-34 victory over Wales yesterday, will be sidelined for six weeks after injuring his left knee late in the Nantes match.

Fiji's all-time top point-scorer was rushed to hospital and team physiotherapist Cathy Wong confirmed Little had suffered a torn medical collateral ligament.

It is believed that 22-year-old Waisea Luveniyali will replace Little at No 10.

The FMF Flying Fijians captain Mosese Rauluni said Little would stay with the team for his experience and encouragement, as they continued their campaign.
