Former All Black and Hurricanes team‑mate Chris Masoe has paid tribute to his close friend Jerry Collins in unique fashion.
Collins and his wife were killed instantly yesterday in a car crash in the south of France.
The accident also saw their four‑month‑old daughter airlifted to a Montpellier hospital in a critical condition.
Playing for another of Collins' former teams Toulon in the French Top 14, Masoe had the top of his hair bleached blonde in the exact style Collins became well‑known for during the majority of his rugby career.
Masoe also had a message "R.I.P. JC. Love you brother" onto the tape on his lower right arm for the match.
Today the Rebels will play the Bulls at 5.30pm; the Blues face the Crusaders at 7.35pm while the Chiefs face the Reds at 9.40pm.
