Police are hunting for five men who robbed a 57yr old businessman and his family of cash and goods worth $48,000 in Tanoa St yesterday.
Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that five masked men armed with cane knives and pinch bars forced open the front door and threatened the businessman and his family before ransacking the house.
The five managed to get away with cash and Jewellery worth more than $48,000.
No one received injuries in the robbery.
Meanwhile, a 16yr old student is admitted in Rotuma hospital after she was hit by a light goods vehicle driven by a 19yr old youth.
She sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to hospital.
