Former Fiji Bati rep Apisai Masikerei will try and live his dream to represent Fiji in the 7s code.
Masikerei is one of the new inclusions in the Uprising sevens team for the Uprising International Sevens next week and hopes to prove his worth to the selectors.
Masikerei was a member of the Fiji Bati side that toured Australia late last year as he is also keeping his option open of representing Fiji at the Rugby League World Cup in October.
With bulk of experience from Masikerei and with the services of Avenisi Vasuinubu and Metuisela Talebula, the Uprising sevens team is expected to be one of the top contenders for the top prize money.
The Uprising International Sevens kicks off next Friday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
