A 62 year old market vendor of Sigatoka is in police custody after he was found with 26 parcels of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

He was arrested by the Police Drug and Dog Unit with the help of a sniffer dog in the Sigatoka market.

Police also confiscated $710 cash from him, which is believed to have been earned through the sale of marijuana.

He is expected to be charged soon.

Meanwhile, a 34 year old man of Labasa is also in police custody after 24 parcels of dried leaves believed to be marijuana was found in his possession.

The dried leaves have been sent to Koronivia for analysis while the two remain in custody.
