Some of the key players of the Marist Under 18 team are facing some injury concerns and other issues ahead of their semifinal clash against defending champion Lelean this Saturday.
Fijivillage has received confirmation that seven Marist players are in doubt which could force some changes to their starting lineup.
In the forwards, big prop Kaliopasi Uluilakepa has been hit with a hip injury and sat out of training yesterday, lock Osea Tamani was also advised not to play with a strained back muscle while outstanding flanker Christian Narain had a cut above his eye.
Two other players are down with flu virus, flyhalf Tui Daveta has a boil on his thigh and will start from bench while fullback and ace kicker Sakiusa Waqa has 5 stitches on his cut lip and will not be available until next week.
Marist last won the Deans trophy 38 years ago and are looking confident to give the defending champion a run for their money.
Marist will take on Lelean at 3.30pm while RKS will take on Ratu Navula at 2.10pm at Govind Park in Ba this Saturday.
