The determination to uphold and maintain the proud history of the struggle of three brothers to set up their former school has brought hundreds of ex-scholars from as far as Japan for this week's MOBilise conference.
President of the Marist Brother's Old Boys Association Ben Salacakau said ex-scholars are determined to make sure their former school has what it needs, which is the reason for the MOBilise conference.
Salacakau said Marist was one of the first multi-cultural schools.
Salacakau added students from all over Fiji enrolled in Marist at the time.
The MOBilise 2010 convention kicks off this Friday with a Mass in Celebration of the MOB Families at Lambert Hall.
