After 5 years, the Red Fire camp has won the Coca Cola Games while Adi Cakobau School has continued its winning run.

Marist Brothers High School has won the boy’s division title with 15 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze.

Defending champion in the boy’s division, Suva Grammar School ended in second place with 12 gold, 8 silver and 2 bronze while Xavier College is third with 3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.

Marist Manager, Navitalai Waiwalu said their win is dedicated to all the brothers of the school as they are celebrating the school’s 75th anniversary this year.


Waiwalu said the Marist athletes also stepped up after Banuve Tabakaucoro’s withdrawal on Thursday.


Marist captain, Banuve Tabakaucoro who finishes off this year is overjoyed that Marist has won the games.


Defending champion in the girl’s division, Adi Cakobau School has won the title for the 12th year. ACS won 9 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Coach, Komera Tuicakau has thanked the families, individual athletes and the ACS Old Girl’s for assisting the team.


The Grammar girl’s finished in second place with 7 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze.

Jasper Williams High School from Lautoka is in third place with 4 gold, 8 silver and 2 bronze. 

Looking at the 4x400 metres finals:

The ACS Intermediate girl’s team set a new record with a time of 4 minutes .02 seconds to claim gold. 

The Grammar girl’s won the 4x400 metres Senior finals while the Grammar 4x400 metres intermediate boy’s team also set a new record of 3 minutes .23 seconds.

The 4x400 metres Senior record was also broken by the Marist team. 

They won gold with a record time of 3 minutes 0.15 seconds. 

There was a protest that the last Marist runner, Ratu Tira Narara did not pass the finish line with the baton however officials have dismissed it.

Looking at the 4x100 metres relay finals : Assemblies of God High School took gold in the sub junior girl’s, the Grammar girl’s took gold in the Junior 4x100 metres final, ACS took gold in the Intermediate girl’s 4x100 metres. 

ACS also set a new record of 48.80 seconds. 

The Senior girl’s 4x100 metres final was taken by the Grammar team.

In the boy’s 4x100 metres finals, LDS took gold in the sub junior boy’s while the Grammar boy’s won the Junior and Intermediate 4x100 metres finals. 

The 4x100 metres Senior boy’s final was won by Marist.

Marist won the Junior Boy’s Discus where Tafa Varea took the gold.

Christian Singh won gold in the Junior Boy’s High Jump for Marist while William Lewesi won the Senior Boy’s Triple Jump gold for the boy’s from Flagstaff.

Lewesi said this gold medal win is special to him.


Ratu Tira Narara won gold for Marist in the Senior Boy’s 800 metres final.

Isikeli Waqa also took gold for Marist in the Senior Boy’s High Jump clearing the bar at 2.05 metres.
