Mariners have been advised to keep a look out for a boat with 7 passengers on board which has not yet arrived at its destination.
According to the Navy Search and Rescue, the boat left the Vatuira passage for Suva when they faced engine problems yesterday.
The boat is believed to have anchored somewhere between Vatuira and Viti Levu.
A search and rescue team has just been sent out with the land crew trying to locate the passengers through their mobiles.
