Officers from the Drug Unit uprooted more than 800 marijuana plants from four different farms in Navosa yesterday.

Assistant spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the raids were carried out as part of operation Damudamu which started at 7am yesterday.

110 plants were uprooted from a farm in Bemana, 471 from a farm in Navula, while 234 plants were uprooted from two different farms in Vatubalavu.

He said the team is still up in the highlands and more farms will be raided today.
